Jesus heals a demon possessed man in Mark 1:23-26, Yet, we can learn more about Jesus through His interaction with the demon possessing this man. Is belief enough? Well, even the devils believe, and look where it got them.

Jesus entered the synagogue and taught as one who had authority is what we read in Mark 1:21-22 and the people were astonished because He taught better than the scribes the people were used to. Why is that? Because Jesus knew the Scriptures and knew the message God had given Him. We need to follow the leading of God when we tell others about Jesus. If God calls you to share your faith with someone, then God will give you the words to say. Your part is to be obedient

The verses we look at in this episode all have one thing in common- your obedience matters. God wants your obedience. God wants you to trust Him.

Could it be that we have our focus on the wrong thing? Jesus calls His first disciples and told them He’d make them fishers of men. Fishing they understood. Jesus didn’t use bait, He simply called people to repentance. Our focus must shift from using “bait” to call people to Christ, and use the Gospel to call people to repentance. When Peter and the disciples went fishing in John 21, they caught nothing. When they followed Jesus’ instructions, they caught so much that their nets began to break. Maybe we need to follow Jesus’ calling to repent and believe.

During trials, actually at all times, we need to keep our focus on Jesus

Acts 2:41-47, here we get a glimpse of the early church. We need to be more like this, and less like the church is now.

After the Holy Spirit was poured out on the disciples on the day of Pentecost, Peter preached a hard hitting sermon to those who were in Jerusalem. The people responded by asking “What shall we do.” We need to respond like this, but instead, we usually sit in church saying “Lord, Bless me if you can.” We got our priorities mixed up

God pours out His Spirit into those who put their faith in Him. The question is, does the Spirit flow through you as you use your spiritual gifts? Or are you like. Spiritual dam where the Spirit goes no where.

God wants to give you a sound mind. A mind that is at peace with God, a mind that is focused on Him, and not the world. Are you ready to receive that mind today?

Jesus called us to walk in love. Unfortunately the world doesn’t have the proper biblical definition of love. Love involves doing things that many don’t associate with love. Things like judgement, like sharing Jesus.

God gives us power to do several things, including living for Him in this lost world. In fact, Jesus prayers that God will protect us from this evil world. We need to start using the power that God has given us to show Him to a lost and hurting world.

2 Timothy 4:7, Paul is teaching that God did not give us fear. Fear paralyzes our faith and renders us useless to God.

We are looking at 1 Thessalonians 4:7 and seeing what God has called us to, and what He has called us to abstain from.

There have been posts on social media lately that has caused me to scratch my head and say “huh?” One recently was someone posted that we need to read Ephesians 5:14, this verse proves that the Bible is “woke.” Friends, this kind of false teaching is all over our world today. We must make sure we walk right in this world, we need to awaken from our sleep and pull our heads out of the sand.

Your faith is either proven or disproven by the works you do. Faith and works go together. Your works prove your faith. Your faith prove your works.

Today, we are going to look at a trial example. Trials are a part of life, and I will review what a trial is. I will also look at a real life example of someone who gone through a trial, and how they handled it.

Today, we are looking at a real life example of temptation. David and Bathsheba. Be sure to listen and see how David got carried away into sin, and find out what the consequences of that sin was.
