And They Were Astonished - Episode 2343

We reflect on Jesus' powerful teaching in Mark chapter one, where His authority astonished the people in Capernaum. What does it mean to be amazed by His doctrine and power? We challenge ourselves to consider how we can bring that same sense of wonder into our church experiences today. What if we allowed God to disrupt our routines and expectations? As we ponder these questions, let’s commit to being the hands and feet of Jesus in our communities. Tune in and be inspired to share your faith in fresh and transformative ways!

Follow the Leading of God - Episode 2341

Jesus entered the synagogue and taught as one who had authority is what we read in Mark 1:21-22 and the people were astonished because He taught better than the scribes the people were used to. Why is that? Because Jesus knew the Scriptures and knew the message God had given Him. We need to follow the leading of God when we tell others about Jesus. If God calls you to share your faith with someone, then God will give you the words to say. Your part is to be obedient

Change our Focus - Episode 2339

Could it be that we have our focus on the wrong thing? Jesus calls His first disciples and told them He’d make them fishers of men. Fishing they understood. Jesus didn’t use bait, He simply called people to repentance. Our focus must shift from using “bait” to call people to Christ, and use the Gospel to call people to repentance. When Peter and the disciples went fishing in John 21, they caught nothing. When they followed Jesus’ instructions, they caught so much that their nets began to break. Maybe we need to follow Jesus’ calling to repent and believe.

Episode 2336 - Two Things We Need During Trials

In today’s episode, we pause with David in the quiet of Psalm 141:1–2, where he pleads, “O Lord, I call upon You; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to You! Let my prayer be counted as incense before You, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.” This is more than a cry for help—it’s a posture of surrender, reverence, and trust. Together, we’ll reflect on what it means to let our prayers rise like incense, especially in the moments when words feel few and the heart feels heavy. You’re invited to slow down, breathe deep, and let this ancient song shape your evening offering to God

Unbothered & Uncondemned: Jesus Said What He Said

Shame called. Guilt texted. Condemnation knocked. But guess what? You don’t live there anymore. In this episode, we unpack the freedom bomb dropped in Romans 8:1—“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” That’s not a cute suggestion. It’s a kingdom fact. If you’ve been dragging around spiritual baggage Jesus already paid to check, it’s time to let it go. Walk in grace, drop the guilt trip, and stop giving the enemy a seat at a table he wasn’t invited to.

When the Message is Rejected

In this episode, we explore two powerful moments of rejection in the New Testament: Jesus being turned away in His hometown of Nazareth and by the people of the Gadarenes. What do these rejections reveal about human nature, spiritual blindness, and the cost of truth? Then we shift to the Apostle Paul’s unexpected call to Macedonia—a reminder that divine redirection often follows human rejection. Join us as we reflect on how God’s purpose prevails, even when the world says “no.”

Respond Like This

After the Holy Spirit was poured out on the disciples on the day of Pentecost, Peter preached a hard hitting sermon to those who were in Jerusalem. The people responded by asking “What shall we do.” We need to respond like this, but instead, we usually sit in church saying “Lord, Bless me if you can.” We got our priorities mixed up

Walk in Love

Jesus called us to walk in love. Unfortunately the world doesn’t have the proper biblical definition of love. Love involves doing things that many don’t associate with love. Things like judgement, like sharing Jesus.

Awake from your sleep

There have been posts on social media lately that has caused me to scratch my head and say “huh?” One recently was someone posted that we need to read Ephesians 5:14, this verse proves that the Bible is “woke.” Friends, this kind of false teaching is all over our world today. We must make sure we walk right in this world, we need to awaken from our sleep and pull our heads out of the sand.
